Our Range of Services
Adult Hearing Tests
Your first step in your hearing pathway. Our audiologist will obtain a detailed case history of your hearing and perform a physical exam of the ear and ear canal. Following this, there will be an assessment of the softest sounds each ear can hear at a range of frequencies though headphones and a bone-conductor headband. Lastly, speech discrimination tests will be performed to determine your ability to hear speech sounds and words.
Following the completion of these tests, the results will be explained by our qualified audiologist and a range of personalised solutions will be discussed if necessary.
Hearing Aid Discussions
If you have a hearing loss that will benefit from amplification, our audiologist will explain the latest range of hearing devices and solutions suitable for your individual needs and lifestyle.
Hearing device styles, technology levels, prices and recommendations will be provided in a clear manner.
It is a good idea to check with your private health insurance before attending the appointment to see if you have coverage for hearing devices under your policy.
Pensioner, Concession and Veteran Funding
As an accredited Hearing Services Program (HSP) provider, Sydney Hearing Specialists can provide fully-subsidised hearing rehabilitation services for those eligible. These can include free hearing tests, free hearing aid fittings and follow-up appointments.

Hearing Aid Fittings and Follow-ups
All hearing aid purchases include free fitting and follow-up appointments for the first year.
At the hearing aid fitting appointment, the hearing aids will be programmed and fine-tuned for your hearing loss. We also educate and counsel you on how to use your new hearing aid and any ongoing care that is needed.
The follow-up appointment is scheduled a week after the fitting to ensure you are satisfied and confident with your hearing aids.
Hearing Aid Repairs and Maintenance
As an electronic device worn daily, hearing aids can require ongoing maintenance and repairs. Our clinic offers both in-house repairs and cleaning services for our clients.
If the damage is extensive, the hearing aid may need to be sent to the manufacturer for an in-depth repair job. We will happily assist you with this.

Your first step will be to call the clinic as we may be able to assist you over the phone.
Annual Check-Ups
It is important to return for regular hearing checks, especially if you are noticing concerns. We recommend annual hearing check-ups for anyone over the age of 45.
If you have had a hearing aid fitted, it is equally important to return each year for an updated hearing test and to perform any hearing aid adjustments you may need.

Home visits
If it is difficult for you to come into the clinic, or if you are choosing to stay at home, our audiologist can provide mobile services for your convenience.

Our clinic provides a range of custom made ear plugs to suit your needs.
Our custom ear plugs can be made for those in noisy work environments, musicians, swimmers or for those needing a quiet nights sleep.
